FRSIS 2014 Memories

Assalamualaikum, Hi humans and unicorns.

I felt happy because my camera is up and alive again sooooo
I'm posting about FRSIS 2014 because of this poyo mamat Irfan wanted me to, so why not eh? Hehehe
Clearly, FRSIS 2014 is one of the most memorable experiences for me while being a SBP Student.
FRSIS stands for "Fully Residential Schools International Symposium".
Before you ask, symposium is like a presentation with slides and where there are presenters that will explain about the certain topic. We, KUPSIS got the Education Tourism theme.

I joined this competition together with these awesome maniacs

Aiman Hamid as the Rapporteur
Fatin Izyana as the Technical Crew
and
Irfan Syahmi as the presenter together with me

There had been lots of ups and downs for the preparation, no internet, can't download this, can't download that, the annoying laptop, having to stay up, making scripts and so on, but it was great fun. They were times we'd take shifts to sleep in the computer lab like

"Weh, Anis aku tidoq dlu hang sambung buat script pastu jam 12.30 hang kejut aku pulak ak sambung"
and where we went real hungry and ate the Oat Chocolates and Kimchi together.
We went to UUM and interviewed foreigners which was a great experience talking to strangers and taking pictures, some of them had English that was hard to understand but we did well.

The gelong-ness when we were so frustrated. I kept forgetting the scripts which was really stressing me out and we'd make fun of each othe by calling "Otototototot", "Ustazah", "Poyo", "Mermaid" and etc.
Sometimes madam took us out to eat. Thanks, madam ;)
Well, that was before the competition.

When it came to the day where we had to go to Kelantan, it was really nerve-wracking and from there we met and gathered with the Northern Symposiumers. At first it was very tense because we didn't know each other but in the end we came out as real good friends with really good memories. Together with us was

SM Sains Sultan Abd Halim (JENAN)
SM Sains Sultan Mohd Jiwa (SeMOJI)
SM Sains Kepala Batas (SAKBA)
SBPI Kubang Pasu (I-KUPS)
and some other schools but I forgot. Sorry :D

Anyways, I'd like to go to the highlights. I remember this time when we went for the trips around Kelantan, there was this guy, he was quite 'pondan-ish' hahahahah. We couldn't stop making fun of him taking selfies with his Iphone and his sunglasses. If you're reading this I hope you're a man now.
Just kiddin'.

There was the Malam Kebudayaan where we all the Northern peeps had to do a Boria. It was very funny especially having Veekul on our side and dancing and all the gelagat bangang because everyone was so tired but had to do it as we had to perform it the next day.

We'd enjoy eating at the gerai kat tepi-tepi eating Ice-cream pulut like sakai and Cheesy Sausages which were heaven and taking selfies with other SBPs and usya-usya budak sekolah hot from other school and kononnya 'booking' or whatsoever. Hahaha

But the best part for me was the last night before going back home where all of the Northern Gang gathered to celebrate though none of us gained Platinum but it was really worth it. With all the hampers, we ate and the boys did the 'Hawaiian Dance' but theres no video though, sorry.

Well I'm out of ideas really, theres more but I shall keep them as good memories in my brain.
Sooo, for the symposium teams next year, some advice from me to you is

1. Be prepared from all aspects, especially for the way you're presenting and the technical stuff and clothing.

There was this one day where I lost my shoes, and I had been so serabut like hell, my skirt went senget, my hijab went all wrong, my kemeja was urghhh and the boys kept laughing at my serabutness. hahahaha. so don't be like me.

2. Be careful with your stuff esp the gadgets you bring like your Ipongs, Ipads, I-everything la, and CAMERA BATTERIES. (I lost mine during the symposium)
3. Last but not least, enjoy! Don't be so passive, make new friends and just enjoy seriously, its great fun really.

In the end, KUPSIS managed to get a Silver Medal Award and the Top 20 Journals, Alhamdulillah.
Thanks to the great help of our madam and the teamwork.

Here are some photos to tatap tatap. Hope you enjoyed reading.

P.s/ To any Northern Gang Symposiumers, I miss you guys like so, so, so much. See you guys soon :)
